There's been a lot of yelling about this subject since E3 of last year, and-- while many people have attempted to silence naysayers with snarky or curt replies-- I think that a far simpler explanation fits just fine.

I would say that, if the idea of Sonic being in a cool little car for a self-celebratory SEGA kart racer makes you throw your hands up in disgust and dismiss the game entirely, you're taking your vidya far too seriously.

Kart racers are bitchin'.

(Plus if a racing game that brings back a Crazy Taxi character doesn't get you even a little excited then we just got nothin' to say to each other, brother.)
